The Île de Batz is an island off Roscoff in Brittany, France. Administratively, it is a commune in the Finistère department of Brittany in north-western France. Inhabitants of Île-de-Batz are called Batziens or Îliens. As of the census of 1999, the village has a population of 575, estimated as 594 in 2005.

The Jardin Georges Delaselle is a historic botanical garden located on the Île de Batz, Finistère, in the region of Brittany. It is open daily except Tuesday in the warmer months; an admission fee is charged.
The garden was created between 1898-1918 by Parisian insurer Georges Albert Delaselle (1861-1944), who supervised excavation among the island's dunes of a deep, terraced bowl five meters in diameter. There he established an excellent collection of exotic plants.

Today the garden contains more than 2000 plant species suited to the island's Mediterranean climate, with fine collections of palms, cactus, and succulents. The garden also contains a Bronze Age necropolis with the remains of ten tombs.
Access to Île de Batz is via small passenger ferry, which means that you won't be able to take your own or hire car to Brittany's most beautiful island and besides, the best way around Île de Batz is by bicycle (which can be hired on the island when you arrive.)

Brittany is one of the most beautiful places on earth to travel. It is a cultural and administrative region in the north-west of France. Brittany has also been referred to as Less, Lesser or Little Britain.

Brittany has too many sights to visit. It is home to many megalithic monuments which are scattered across the peninsula. The largest alignments are near Karnag/Carnac. Brittany is also known for its calvary sculptures, elaborately carved crucifixion scenes found at crossroads in villages and small towns, especially in Western Brittany. The walled city of Saint-Malo is a popular tourist attraction.

Brittany is located on the west coast of France; and has a warm, temperate climate. Rainfall occurs regularly - which has helped keep its countryside green and wooded. Brittany has a moderate climate during both summer and winter. In the summer months temperatures in the region can reach 30 °C.
